Range Rover has come a long way, since the original eponymous 1969 prototypes and their 1970 release as the 26 Land Rover Range Rover models that came to define the luxury SUV and its segment. But since Land Rover had to keep its secrets in advance of the time's big show, it used the Latin-derived name "velare," meaning to veil or cover, to refer to them publicly. This name became Velar, and the moniker sank into the subconscious of Land Rover's development experts.

Until now.

Jaguar Land Rover, North America was thrilled to announce its expansion of their North American Headquarters. Mahwah’s Township Planning Board approved this expansion in September 2016, which allowed the brand to relocate their headquarters to North Mahwah. The design of the new location will be supervised by Gensler Architecture/Design Inc. The move is slated to begin early 2018 with construction beginning later this year.
